Transfixed on Eternal
It is our own free-will that creates a barrier between us and God. We actively choose to ignore the precepts established by God and seek our own will. Yet, we just find ourselves walking alone, wandering from truth. Tirelessly working to find our own truth outside of God.
Yet, the truth lies within us. We are made in the image and likeness of God. His light radiates from within. We exercise our free-will to extinguish our internal flame. We work counter to God in our fruitless attempts to gain control. We allow our exterior to dictate how we should live.
This exterior force is often counter to our very nature. Reducing our individuality into a state of conformity. Satisfying the desires of the world as we wander astray from our true self, our God given self.
We have created an interior battle from within us that contributes to our own instability. Our interior voice is fighting so powerfully to be heard, yet it is muffled by the extrinsic. We find our mind and heart speaking two separate languages. The inability to communicate becomes a deceptive barrier created by the world; solely to remove our gaze from our loving Creator.
Our minds become guided by our impulsive desires. Further damaging our hearts, only to satisfy a momentary urge. The world tells us that we only have the moment in which we are living in.
Are our souls not immortal?
Our spirit goes beyond the confines of this finite world. Our repentance is an inevitable key to returning towards a state of grace. Away from impulsivity and searching for satisfaction in that which is finite. Transfixing our gaze on the eternal.
